Breakthrough Training for Tomorrow’s Top Educators

The FAU College of Education offers aspiring educators a broader choice of undergraduate programs than many schools, along with four University public laboratory schools that add valuable practical experience and research access. Learn more about our accreditations, scholarships and financial aid. See how we’re leading the way in academics, research impact and teaching excellence.

Why Is FAU College Of Education Your Best Choice?

You want an educational foundation that’s grounded in proven principles, yet boldly embraces new teaching innovations. The FAU College of Education has a proven record of mastering both.

Choose from four core educational career paths: Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Special Education, and Early Care & Education, taught across our Boca, Jupiter and Davie campuses.

COE is the first in Florida to receive accreditation from the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), the single specialized accreditor for educator preparation in the United States.

The college was awarded a $4.3 million grant to establish a Center of Excellence for Elementary Teacher Preparation. Our mission: strengthen candidates’ preparation for advanced study and K-6 classroom success to improve knowledge, skills and school districts’ expectations.

Our four public laboratory schools serve as a demonstration site for teacher education; a resource for curriculum development; and a place to conduct research.
